An Almost New Beginning

So I failed you again. I said I was back and I was not. Blogging just no longer tops my list of priorities. I just feel no need to keep my promises I make in this blog, because no one reads it so I am not making a promise to anyone at all. I pour my heart into this page and nobody reeps the benefits of my work. But I will start actually blogging, and not just blogging about blogging as I am doing now, and said before I wouldn't do, from here on out. My blog will soon be relevant and exciting, and not just a self-involved, self-idolizing work, which i know you faithful readers love, but I need to sell out to attract the mainstream. You will be left behind faithful readers, and I will never look back to you.

A Triumphant Return

I have been away from my blog recently but here I am for my triumphant return. Due to both technical difficulties, and scheduling conflicts, my blog has taken a back seat to my life, but not any longer. This past weekend my lacrosse team played two games, winning by a collective score of 30-6. Now this may make us seem like a powerhouse, but really we were just playing terrible teams to make us feel good about ourselves. And it worked. But it will seemingly be problematic, because if we are used to playing people that are awful, playing people that are just decent will seem like a jarring task. If the Spurs scrimmaged against college teams, they would feel good about themselves, but they would be setting themselves up for disaster. Which brings me to my lacrosse season. This false sense of glory may be more than we can overcome. Our first count game is on Wednesday and we will see if was better to have built up are self-esteem, or if we should have played teams that would have dominated us, just so that anything else seems like cake. Sleep in anticipation, dear reader, you will find out in due time.

Real Blogging (that last one was a phony)

That last post was an assignment. I was editing html. It does not look like anything, but I was using
instead of the enter key and all that secret code that only champions of html understand. You may be saying to yourself, why have such remarkable skill when it is not even noticeable, well the answer is that its purpose is just not for blogs. If I move on to websites, I will need this mastery. For you simpletons, what I am saying is that I wrote hidden notes in invisible ink that you commoners will never understand. It is necessary for me because I am champion of technology and therefore html just followed suit and submitted to my will. So my title says the last blog was a phony, but it was just super advanced space lingo that you would never understand. I apologize for being leaps and bounds ahead of my time, but you will catch up eventually, dear reader.

Wyatt

The above text is indeed my name.
You may be thinking, Wyatt, what a crazy name.
Well my friends, it is not that crazy at all.

Other than my name, my defining quality is my skill in mastery of HTML
I am Champion of HTML
You want a line break
There it is.
You want a new paragraph

This looks like a new paragraph, does it not.
Moral of the story is that my name is Wyatt, the champion of HTML.

Haunted Beloved

We are reading Beloved in English class. If you have not read this book, here is a short summary that is all you need to know to understand my frustration. It is a serious book taking the reader through the terrors of slavery, however it is hard to take the book that seriously. You may be thinking, what an insensitive person for not taking slavery seriously. But that is not what I am saying at all. The slavery part is very serious but the book is too supernatural. There is a ghost, it is not a metaphor, an actual ghost in the book. How can you take a book seriously that just decides to throw a ghost in the mix. It is justified in way, it just seems wrong to read such a serious novel with an out of place ghost just roaming around the text. Toni Morrison (the author) has very cool hair, so I am a fan of her, and well Beloved is good, the ghost just seems wrong. The story would have to be different, but could be just as powerful without the ghost. The ghost is a burden on Sethe (the main character) but, more so, it is a burden on the readers. Moral of the story, no ghost belongs in Beloved.

You Can't Stop Monday

I lied to you, dear reader. I told you I would have a joke for you on Monday, to brighten your day. However, I do not. I realized I am just not funny enough to think up and relay a joke to you. I also felt like I would have cheated you by just finding a joke. So now you get nothing but a bad case of the Mondays. It is for the better though. There will never not be Mondays, but there will not always be the chance to enter my Whimsical World by reading my blog. For I will move on, my blog long forgotten like an inferior Woody doll to the Buzz Lightyear of life that will take over. So to help you cope with Mondays forever, I decided to help you not deal with Mondays now. Not give you a false sense of security that I will just rip from you later. I am sorry for the bad news, but Monday is Monday and it sucks. That is all.

The Day Before The Day After Tomorrow

It is once again Friday. While I am looking forward to the weekend, because it is the weekend, my near future looks bleak. Tomorrow I happen to have a lacrosse game and the weather is apparently going to be in the 30s with a high chance of rain. As a goalie getting hit with shots hurt. The colder it is, the more they hurt. I while be miserable. And in times when no shots are being taken, I will be wet. This is by no means an appealing sounding Saturday. Pray for lightning, dear reader, then I will not have to play and enjoy the warm of my home and television instead of the agony of a freezing and rainy lacrosse game.

Off To Battle

Today in class we watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I am not sure why, but that is besides the point. What I realized is that music is the difference between an epic movie and an action movie. The music in this movie was awesome. It made me want to go to battle. Regardless of whether or not it is a good movie, it is defiantly epic. Moral of the story is, if you ever make a movie and it just is not as awesome as you want it to be, you need better music in it.

Football Withdrawl

I never played football on a school team, but I love football. It is by far the most exciting sporting season. With 16 games, every game matters, in baseball you have 162 games so why bother. 16 games on 16 Sundays make every Sunday for 16 weeks, 21 if you include playoffs, great days. However now the season is over. There are 31 Sundays left in this year, and none of them have any significance to me. I miss football and I wish it started up again next Sunday. That is all I have to say. Good day.

Monday Has Its Day

Today is Monday. Sir Charles has no songs about this day, so it is not a day to get excited about. I think Monday needs a mascot. Nobody likes Monday. People dread Monday. Me included. If Monday had some special attraction that no other day had though, then it would be a much better time for everyone. Tuesday is cd day, Wednesday is sometimes movie day, Thursday is the day before Friday, Friday has to much goodness to its credit, and the weekend is the weekend. Monday has nothing. Nothing at all. So now to appease your need for Monday goodness, I will tell a joke every Monday. But I can not think of any right now, so starting next Monday. Joke day. Get ready.

Sir Charles Jones

It is Friday. The day of kings. Sir Charles Jones would call it the day to party and get his groove on the dance floor. If you have not heard the song "Friday" by Sir Charles Jones, you will never truly appreciate Friday. It is the day to buy some new gators and plenty of other things. What a day it is.

Merely Entertainment

You may have noticed recently that I have not mentioned being your savior, your messiah. I decided to approach are relationship differently. I am writer, you are reader. That is all. It is not friend to friend, nor savior so savee, it is just blogger to blog reader. This is now professional. I will speak to you, and you cannot speak back for you do not have the power of print that I have. I will not be nice, but I will not be mean, I will merely be entertainment. There is nothing more to it than that. I hope you enjoy this drastic change, and if not, I apologize but you are powerless in making me change my mind. The fun starts tomorrow. Get excited.

The Dude Abides

I do not have much time to blog because I was playing tetris. Tetris used to be great and will always be great. People just do not understand simplicity anymore. Everything is to complicated. Tetris is great because it is so simple and so timeless. We need more of that. This reminds me of a The Dude. He is a just a guy out there takin' er easy for all us sinners. I take comfort in knowing he is there. If you have not seen the Big Lebowski, you will not understand.

Super Bowl Shennanigans

The Super Bowl is to be watched for the football. Nothing else. Anyone who does, or claims to watch the Super Bowl f0r commercials is a fool. I may be wrong but are commercials not the least pleasant part of television viewing. It is no different during the Super Bowl. You may get five funny commercials, in three hours. That is not a good amount of funny commercials at all. If you think five slightly funny commercials is enough to merit a Sunday night of yours, you are a fool. You really should be watching it for the game, which was awesome mind you, but if you are not into football and our just watching because your friends are, do not say it is for the commercials. Nothing bothers me more, and nothing is a bigger disappointment on a yearly basis. Commercials are not for pleasure, that is not their purpose and never will be. Do not give them the false impression that people like them. Next year when the Colts are winning the Super Bowl, do not be waiting for the commercial breaks, enjoy the Colts run up the score on whatever scrub they face, and do not worry about the in-betweens.

Monotonous Mayrtrdom

I realized that I have not had anything exciting to write about, because I need a new persona. I am bored of being the Messiah. Saving lives is only exciting for so long, and then its really monotonous at best. For all of you considering pursuing a career of this sort, think again. So now I will go into a three day weekend and try to reinvent myself. I will either come back next week a new man, or just a really disgruntled messiah. May the suspense carry you through the next couple days of your life.
